Norway is the country in Europe offering more outdoor sports activities than any other. Bergans of Norway, manufacturer of high-quality outdoor-equipment and functional clothing, has its headquarters here. Bergans has become world-famous because of an innovative invention based on an idea from 1908 – the frame backpack. In 2008 Bergans of Norway celebrated the company’s 100-year anniversary. Because of their cooperation with recreational hikers on the one and adventurers seeking extreme conditions on the other hand the products are constantly improved according to the individual needs of outdoor sportsmen.
Regarding the clothing sector Bergans developed a material called Dermizax which is water-proof, breathable, and elastic. Moisture is absorbed on the inside of the clothing laminate and then evaporates on the outside. The body is thus protected from hypothermia. Dermizax does not contain micropores which can be congested by dirt. Dermizax-functional clothing is therefore a long term companion for sophisticated outdoor athletes.

Bergans of Norway – Luster Jacket
This is the multifunctional allround-version from the Bergans-line: a soft and comfortable three-layer-jacket with a wind- and water-proof as well as breathable Dermizax membrane. Because of the stretchability of this clothing laminate this jacket is very flexible and fun to wear in spite of its tight cut. It comes with a detachable and fully adjustable hood including peak. The zippers located under each arm created for ventilation purposes are extra long, mesh pockets ensure even further ventilation.
Soft fleece lining at the collar (including chin protector). Sleeve cuffs can be adjusted by velcro clusures.
Further features: tightening cords at the edges, flap including press stud fastener, water-resistant zippers under the arms and at the pockets, preformed elbows, elongated back section, reflecting strips, all seams are sealed.
