Circular path around the Schluchsee
This circular path goes around the largest lake in the Black Forest, leading to almost Caribbean beachest, rocky hillocks offering a great view, rustic snack rooms and to the impressive dam above the valley of the Schwarza. Starting point and destination also is the railway station in Schluchsee (1) . We will no hike in close proximity to the lake at all times, past the rocky Amalienruhe in the direction of Aha (2) . There it is possible to take a detour to the Bildstein on the Schluchtensteig. From above one has the best view of the lake and the Hochschwarzwald region. You can easily grant you this because the further hike is rather a walk than a hike. Always close to the shores we will follow the circular path all the way to the country-style Unterkrummenhof (3) . Then we will hike onwards on the part of the lake whose natural characteristics have been preserved via Schönenbuchen and Eisenbreche to the dam 4 above the valley of the Schwarza. On this part you will find the most beautiful beaches of the Schluchsee. Starting in Seebrugg (5) taking the Kohlgrubenweg it won’t be far to the city of Schluchsee. (1) It is also possible to take the train.
