The Westweg-version onto the highest mountains of the Black Forest

The classic hike in the Black Forest lies in the Hochschwarzwald. The path is split up into two versions in Titisee: one leads onto the Feldberg, the other onto the Herzogenhorn. Both versions can be combined to a circular path covering the highest mountains in the Black Forest. Starting in the city center of Titisee (1) we will hike around the south of the lake first, then we will hike next to the train tracks to the Bärental (2) and on and up to the famous Zweiseenblick (3). It is possible to see the Titisee and the Schluchsee form the rock plateau. After that you will hike through a Nordic highmoor landscape to the Hochkopfhütte-Schutzhütte, then on to the Caritashaus and to the Grafenmatt (4) on the top of the pass. This is where the ascend onto the Herzogenhorn (5) starts. The same path will lead us back to the Grafenmatt and past the Feldbergerhof and the “House of Nature” onto the Seebuck. At the Grüble you will encounter the Westweg again, take a detour to the top of the Feldberg and hike above the Karwand of the Feldsee to the Fu?rsatz 6 and to Hinterzarten (7) Passing the ski jump we will reach Titisee again.
