Panorama-Gratwanderung zu den Neualplseen – mit Klettervariante
North of Lienz there is the Zettersfeld, the second accessible hiking territory of Lienz equipped with cable railways and a toll road. Up here experienced hikers can combine a comfortable hike through the meadows to the Neualplseen with a ridge hike via the Lottknoepfe and the Goisele. The person who is also experienced in alpine hikes and who is sure-footed and experienced in the proper usage of one's hands as well may also try out the climbing path via the Sattelkoepfe all the way to the Schleinitz (6) and can thus celebrate having reached a mighty peak close to 3000 meters. From the top station of the Zettersfeld-cable railway at the Steinermandl (1) or from the parking lot at the end of the toll road (2) the broad hollow in the ridge between the Schoberkoepfl and Goisele will be the first goal (3) . Across from there the rocky mountains of the eastern Schobergruppe mountain group located around the Petzeck tower above the lonely valley of Debanttal. Moving around the Goisele on the right hand side one has almost reached the magnificently located Neualplseen (4). A gallery tour will lead you to lake after lake, the"Nussdorfer" lake sporting a small island or the "Thurner Lake" which is surrounded by rocks. Your way back on the newly set up path on the ridge (5) will lead you from the Lottknoepfen to the Neualpschneid and via the southern slope of the Goisele back to the Steinemandl.
