FanellhornThree-thousand-meter peaks across four lakes
Are you keen on climbing a mighty three-thousand meter-peak while glaciers are serveing as an impressive backdrop? The Fanellhorn provides you with an uphill climb free of ice up to 3.124 meters including one of the most powerful panoramas mountains can offer in the Alps. You will need two days taking the chairlift from Vals (1) in the evening to Gadastatt (2). Then you will hike for roughly two hours on the Almsträßchen to the Zervreilasee (lake) (3), cross the 151 meter dam and spend the night in the nearby mountain hotel (hiking bus from Vals). Including a detour to the Zervreilakapelle (chapel) (4) – in memory of the old village in the lake – and an awestruck look on the steep Zervreilahorn you will ascend to the Guraletschsee (lake) (5). Experienced climbers climb on across the Fanellgrätli all the way onto the Fanellhorn (6). Everybody else will hike on on broad paths to the idyllic Ampervreilsee (lake) (7) and the Selvasee (lake) and then descends to Vals (1) in order to take a relaxing bath in the Felsentherme Vals (spa).
