At the „Bündner Rigi“

You want more panorama views? No problem: Opposite of Brigels there is the municipaliy of Obersaxen with its 29 scattered hamlets and farms on a broad plateau below the grassy crest. These mountains are a skiers dream in the wintertime, in the summer they invite us to tightrope walks. The hiking bus takes us to Cuolm Sura, then the furnicular takes us to the Piz Mundaun (1): where we get of, breathe deeply and look around – there is no panoramic view like this far and wide! On the ridge hike across the hilltops Hitzeggen (2) and Stein (3) to the Piz Sezner (4) is never too difficult which is good because one wants to concentrate on the view and on the mountain flowers. You can start your descent depending on your mood or your physical state, at Stein taking the rail or at the Piz Sezner on foot to Wali (5). That’s where the hiking bus is awaiting you.
